                               RESOLUTION NO. 19359
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT
                   A TWO-YEAR PLAN AND PROGRAM DESCRIPTION FOR
                   THE USE OF HOME FUNDS ALLOCATED TO THE CITY
                   OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, The City of Chattanooga has been designated by
       the Department of Housing and Urban Development as a 
participating
       jurisdiction for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program enacted 

       under Title II of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable
       Housing Act (Public Law 102-625); and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the submission of the program description by
       the City of Chattanooga is authorized under state and local law
       and the City possesses the legal authority to carry out the HOME
       Investment Partnerships Program in accordance with the HOME
       regulations;
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is
       hereby authorized to submit a two-year plan and program
       description for the use of HOME funds allocated to the City.
